What does living an inspired lifestyle mean to you? How do you create change in your life and/or business?
Living an inspired life means living each day joyfully and flowing with life. Not forcing yourself to wake up and go to a job you dislike. It’s important for everyone to feel inspired in their day-to-day lives, or we end up like zombies just passing through time.
The changes I make in my life and business come from inspiration and a collective research on what my clients want. Wherever I see possible growth in my business and in my personal life, I will consider my options and then get into action to start making it happen.
What challenges have you faced along the way? How have you, or are you overcoming them?
As far as challenges with my business, my biggest one would have been the transition from renting space from another owner’s facility or the councils outdoor space, to then having a roof over my own business’ head. The decision came from figuring out numbers and the best possible option to grow my personal brand and business. I think I base a lot of my final decisions around figures and numbers (and of course only if I am wholeheartedly inspired to follow through – that is a must)
When did you first know you were meant for something more and how did you take the leap?
Oh tough question! I think the definition of ‘more’ really depends on everyones current situation. I don’t think it would be so much as ever feeling like I was ‘meant for more’. But more-so respecting my emotions and feelings in life activities (work or leisure), realising when I am at my happiest and pursuing that path.
If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?
Hunger – and malnourishment.
and Clean Water.
If all humans had access to fresh foods from healthy soil grown around their local areas, the disease ratio would drop tremendously.
They’d be a heck of a lot happier too, decreasing anger, violence and rage.
If you were to give one piece of advice to someone who is ready for more, but holding back through fear of the unknown, what would it be?
You will miss 100% of the shots you never take. So if you’re going to shoot at anything, it may as well be for your goals.
(Credit to Wayne Gretzky for that quote)
Is there a person or experience that inspired change in your life, if so who and/or what?
There would be a credit to many that have inspired me along my journey, including my clients and their personal transformations. Also the people who took the time to teach me and love me are the ones who are my biggest inspirations. My parents are still one of my biggest inspirations in all areas from kindness to success.
What are your top 3 ways to stay inspired?
- Like minded people. Having friends that will lift you up and be honest and that you can bounce ideas off of.
- Love. Give love, to your partner, your friends, family to nature, to everything.
- Education. Keep educating yourself in your chosen field (no it does not have to be college or degrees). Whether its reading, your own research, short courses or workshops by other successful people in your field.
- Bonus one! I used to follow a lot of social media accounts for inspo. But I found it did me more harm than good, falling into the comparison trap. Maybe it’s time to do a de-clutter of your accounts if you’re feeling swamped with the ‘everybody else doing better’.
What is one thing people don’t know about you (it can be something fun, a fear, or something close to your heart – whatever you would like to share)?
I’ve been filming and editing video footage since I was about 9 years old. I wanted to be the next Steven Spielberg, so I went to College for film school when I was 17. But I dropped out after my first year because I discovered it wasn’t for me long-term. Now I’ve incorporated filming and photography as a hobby contributing to my business. Win-Win!
